Is There Anything I Can Do To Make My Hair Thicker?

I'm noticing thinning on my scalp in some areas as well as on the sides. It's not that noticeable if I let it grow out after 2 months or so but I get #1 buzzcuts after letting it grow for awhile. But as it grows out I can tell the hair is thin in different areas. What's the best thing I can do to get my hair thicker? Does rogaine or propecia make hair thicker? I just don't know what I'm supposed to do. When I look in my bathroom mirror with the light on I can clearly see the thinning, but when there's not much light I can barely see it unless I look really close at it.

Well, you could give rogaine a go. I don't use it, but it could help thicken the thining areas. But...you could shed a sh*t load of hair using and it might look worse. This is usually temporary and will start to grow back. But there are some people who's shedding didn't grow back.

Or you could just get some toppik and spray it in the thin areas to cover it up. It's a temporary cosmetic fix though.

So it seems I'd be taking a risk by trying something. I don't know what to do at this point about it. I mean when it grows out after awhile you really can't notice it at all, but I usually get a buzz cut after 3 months or so but as it starts growing out after a month or so you can notice the thinning a bit if you look really close. I just dislike looking at it in the mirror. I'm not really sure what I should do then if there's risk of it getting worse.

And I'm just not into the whole hair fiber thing. I want it to be my real hair on my head.

basically overdose on Rogaine. They say on the package insert that using more doesn't improve results but I think they say that from a legal standpoint because I know from experience that using loads of rogaine will thicken your hair. If you don't feel like you're about to have a heart attack and pass out while you're applying then you aren't applying enough. Then slowly reduce dosage to normal levels to prevent a shed. Of course, you'll shed at the beginning of treatment regardless

That doesn't sound safe at all to do. I just can't believe there's hardly anything that can be done without there being any risk involve. I don't want to take something & then there's a high risk of my hair falling out & not growing back. My biggest fear is that I'll have to one day go bald right to the scalp.
