And I mean, really proper evidence, like the evidence in favor of the effectiveness of finasteride or dutasteride as hair loss treatments.
I understand that there have been some studies that have shown Nizoral is beneficial in combating hair loss. However, my understanding is that some of these studies were likely biased and some had a very small sample size. Also, it would be fairly obvious by now to all of us if Nizoral really was all that effective as a hair loss treatment, because it would be well known on these forums by now due to all the many thousands of forum users who have tried Nizoral over the years. Indeed, it appears that most people (not all, but most) on these forums who have used Nizoral would say that its effectiveness as a hair loss treatment appears to be fairly minimal at best. There would, of course, be no need for finasteride or dutasteride if Nizoral was so effective.
In my case, I believe Nizoral shampoo has done nothing at all for my hair. I've had some very good regrowth this last year, but I attribute it entirely to the effects of the finasteride that I am using. I stopped using Nizoral about three months ago (finasteride is the only thing I'm using right now), and my hair has since continued to improve at an even better rate than when I was also using Nizoral.
I personally am very skeptical of the effectiveness of topical ketoconazole as a hair loss treatment. I think it probably helps a little, but I find it hard to believe it is as effective as a couple of those studies seemed to be implying.
Any thoughts anyone? I look forward to your replies
