Is there a such thing as a generic Propecia in U.S.?

My understanding is Finpecia is generic Propecia from India, but is not yet available directly within US. For those who don't want to use Proscar (or its yet again another Indian generic Fincar), what other options are available other than buying Finpecia from overseas?

Also there seems to be debates about effectiveness of Fincar and Finpecia for them being suspect at least some of the cases. Would you feel comfortable taking Fincar (slices in 4 pieces) or Finpecia?

There is a generic version of PROSCAR which is 5mg. Most people cut it up to save money.

But as for now PROPECIA is still name brand only which I believe expires in a year or so. I could be wrong.

Yeah, I think I heard that in January they will go generic. However, it's still cheaper to get 5mg generic and cut it up.

No matter the version (generic or brandname) finasteride is finasteride, and it does basically the same thing at 0.5-1mg doses. The debate is more likely related to buying fake medications from India that contain little to no active ingredient, as is a common issue with buying drugs like v****. From what I have seen, there is no debate that generic finasteride is any more or less effective than brand name.

Yes but cutting up 5mg into .25 is not same as cutting up 1mg into .25 so there are still some minor differences depending on what your goals are.
