Is the upregulation of androgen receptors temporary?

Just a quick question, if I will ever consider stopping finasteride in the future, will I resume balding at the same rate should I have never started finasteride in the first place? Or the hair loss will be stronger due to what I've read about "the upregulation of ARs"?

If this upregulation of ARs does really occur, is it temporary or permanent?

There is already an up regulation of Androgen Receptors in a balding scalp since that's what happens with Androgenic Alopecia.

If you stop taking Finasteride, you'll starting balding again if you're prone to the genetic condition.

Bump. I really need an answer to this question as I believe I have permanently upregulated my ARs since trying Propecia. I'm guessing nobody here knows though...I'm seeing an endocrinologist soon and hope they can advise, but I suppose you would have to have in-depth knowledge of Finasteride.
