Is the Big 2 enough?

Hi everyone,

Always had very thin hair but since i turned 19 it has gotten alot worse.
Am 21 now and over the last year my hair is slowly coming out.
More and more each time I shower.
Have longish hair at the moment so i can cover it up with products and no one will notice. Dont know how long i can keep it up for. A month or so and it will be quite obvious.

After reading alot of info on this great forum I decided to do something about it and ordered Nizoral 1% and Rogaine Foam.
Will start this treatment 2moro:
- Nizoral 3 times a week and Rogaine foam 2wice a day.

Just wondering where i should apply the foam.
Im loosing my hair up front and ontop/ mid scalp also temples.
Should i just apply to those affected areas or my entire scalp?

Also i understand that alot of people use propecia in conjunction with rogaine.
Is this really necessary, does rogaine reduce DHT?
If i just use rogaine will i grow new hairs but old ones will just fall out?
Just a bit worried of the side effects of propecia and using to many drugs at once.

Cant wait to here from you guys as i want to kick this in the butt as soon as possible

Well im not on any but from what i've read around here finasteride is the one you'd get on if you could only have one. So yeah you're missing out on the best of the three I believe.

If I were to drop finasteride (Propecia) I would at least try something
like topical spironolactone to reduce DHT.

i used rogaine for 2 years with no results. i used propecia for 2 weeks before i saw results. easy choice.
