Is Rogaine responsible for this?

Hopefully someone will help me shed some light on this:

I am a 22 year old male who has been on Rogaine for 9 months (I have a bald spot on the crown area (moderate hair loss)).

Approximately 3 months ago, I realized that I had some diffused bald spots on top of my head and on one of my temples; they look like tiny trickles, but aren't concentrated in any specific area. The hair loss on that area is noticable, but not that alarming. I have seen it slighly progress over the last three weeks (though my hairline has not been receeding). What is interesting is that the diffused trickle-shaped loss looks as if it dripped towards my forehead. Those trickles are no more than an inch long.

Could this have to do with shedding hair because of Rogaine, or am I balding quite strangely? Can Rogaine burn hair off in unaffected areas if drips too much when applied? I have been working in horrible conditions (too hot) this summer and I both had to apply Rogaine unevenly, often having it drip onto the frontal part of my head.

I also have had three tiny bald spots appearing very low on the back of my head and haven't regrown since (I keep my hair very short). I have had noticable results with Rogaine before I saw this.

Has anyone ever encountered something similar?

thanks,

Al

I'll pass on this one. Maybe you have some other form of alopecia? Or maybe your a patchy diffuse thinner?

Well I am considering switching to minoxidil (5%) soon since it seemed to be working much better from what I've been reading. I'll have to order it online though.

Where can I order the cheapest minoxidil (5%) online to Canada? (e.g. Is http://stores.discountminoxidil.com/Sea ... e+Delivery reliable?)

I suppose I'll have to wait a bit to see if I should apply Rogaine on my newly diffused areas. In the meantime, I started applying it on my left temple to see whether it'll do anyhting. 8O

Let's say my diffused hairloss isn't due to male pattern baldness, how long would waiting to see a change be reasonable?
