is propecia the same thing as finpecia??

are they both same thing but is finpeica a generic brand??? i am really curious bout this becasue i hear the cost of finpecia is half of propecia.. i was also wondering about the results, do they stop the effect of hairloss equally? or does propecia contain stronger ingredients that totals better results ??? thanks

Finpecia is the generic drug from India (they have a different patent's law), it's the same thing.

Propecia = 1 mg of Finasteride produced by Merck
Finpecia = 1 mg of Finasteride produced by Cipla

They are essentially the same drug.
