I've been on propecia for about a month now and I'm noticing that my scalp around my hairline is really itchy. Is the propecia causing this? This has happened before when I was using min but I thought it was just because of the topical was irritating my scalp. What do you think is going on? Thanks

It's not from the Propecia. male pattern baldness often results in inflamation of the scalp around the hair follicles, this inflamtion causes itching. Nizoral shampoo helps to fight inflamation and itching. Just don't overdue it with the Nizoral, use it three times a week. Nizoral made my scalp itch completly go away, when I miss a week of Nizoral the itch returns, it's good stuff.

Completely correct! Nizoral will stop the itch.

Also, it is a small sign that you are losing hair in that area or about to.

Suggest the following:

Everytime you wash your hair, apart from massaging the hair, scratch lightly the scalp where it is itching! A hairdresser told me this, and this works!
