Is Norwood 1 Considered A Mature Hairline And Not Balding. If No Hair Loss Or Thinning Is Noticed

I love this question. I doubt you would even get agreement on what a mature hairline exactly is. In theory its something like a Norwood 2 with a receded look with some recession, but its arguably all just male pattern baldness just being classified differently because its "common" among white middle aged males. So since some recession is normal I guess its not considered male pattern baldness, but once it goes farther it is. So I guess a Norwood 7 is a hair line that matured well past a normal mature hairline!

Here is an article on it. Although that tom hanks is mild balding? guy is missing half his hairline

Ya I have read that article. I just wanted to make sure if I was balding or not. Cuz I have noticed recently that my hair started receding from a nw0 to nw1, even tho I haven’t had any thinning. Anyway thanks for the reply

Here is my advice. See a dermatologist in person if your not sure and can afford it. If he cant tell your balding, and advises against treatments like propecia than stop worrying! Wait until its visible to other people, and your completely sure before you embark on life long hormonal drugs.
Treatments today are not that amazing, and carry risks. Dont do it for no reason.
