Is Nizoral/ T-gel only cosmetic fix?

Hey guys, quick question I recently began using nizoral 2% and t-gel. I am not really losing a lot of hair, but i am getting some major thinning issues on the top and front of my head. I thought i would start with this and work my way up.

My question is:

when i use the 2 shampoos my hair looks really thick and full. I am wondering if this is a cosmetic fix or if the shampoo is actually changing how the follicles work, etc ??? Any knowledge would be appreciated.

What else should i consider adding to my regime for thinning hair? Pills (based on side effects) will be my last option. Are these shampoos only tricking me into thinking they are actually having any real effect?

thanks guys.....this sucks.

They have anti-inflammatory, and Nizoral has anti-androgenic, properties.

Nizoral has the ability to thicken the diameter of your hair by about 7%.

So yes, some of these shampoos *might* thicken up your hair, but the real benefit is in keeping the inflammation and androgens down.

Keep using them.

Also, if you ever get a couple of spare bucks to waste on shampoo, try Nioxin. It leaves your hair very thick, clean, and smelling wonderful!

Thanks for the info and tip.

I will give what you suggested a try. I find the T-gel shampoo to have a poor smell. Is there any chance that the shampoos i am using can cause any re-growth?
