On the norwood scale ( google it ) you are a Norwood 2. Fortunately we have effective treatments to help stop and even reverse male pattern baldness. Your best bet is to go see a doctor or dermatologist and ask about finasteride and minoxidil. finasteride a pill you take once every day and minoxidil is a liquid or foam you massage into the affected areas once or twice a day. Do this, and you have a good chance of at least keeping what you got, you may even grow some back too...
Beyond that there are even more effective treatments such as dutasteride, loniten, RU58841, spironolactone and Androcur and many, many more. Get on the first two and hope for the best.. goodluck!
FYI im 20 too and a little worse off than you. Im on loniten and it seems to be working.

I'm nort really able to afford any of the medications at the moment. If I don't take anything will it continue at fast rate or will it take many years before its really noticable? Or is that just case by case thing?
Its a case by case thing. The beauty of treatments is that many are ridiculously cheap! You can get a years supply of finasteride for like $60.. minoxidil is mahbe double that but for finasteride at $5 a month.. even the homeless can afford that :)

You look like a very typical late Norwood 2, heading towards a Norwood 3. Get on finasteride as soon as possible. If you are strongly interested in regrowing your temples, then I would suggest minoxidil. You also must use Nizoral shampoo or another ketazanocaole based shampoo to make sure the meds work.

That is not true. It cost me like $40 for a year supply of finasteride. finasteride can keep your hair. If you cant put aside $40 a year then you have way bigger problems than hair loss.
