Is my hair thinning or does it just naturally part at the side? I have always had a big cowlick growing up and barbers would always mention it, even as a kid. I have always had fine hair, but a lot of it. What do you think ??? Sorry for all the pics, just trying to be thorough.

Alot of guys get some type of hairloss when their androgen levels peak. my dad was a nw2 in his late 20s but died an a thin nw3 at 52. from here on out its how sensitive your hair follicles are. take pictures WITH THE SAME ANGLE AND LIGHTING every 6 months and see if it progresses any. but from the looks of it now you have ALOT of time before you start to go noticebly bald so sit back relax and enjoy. by time you go bald there will probably better treatments out anyway.

Thanks for the advice buddy. Does it look like I've lost anything thus far? Hair loss doesn't run in my family, and am confused of what is "normal" or not

This is what bugs me out. I have a hair part that goes from my cowlick to the front. It looks a lot different depending on how the hair falls

I disagree. First, it's hard to evaluate because he's combing all of his hair forward and to the side, with his part beneath his ear. But in the pictures of his hairline, there's clearly recession at the temples with a noticeable widows peak.

OP, part your hair down the middle or on one side of your head like a normal person and not like Justin Bieber circa 2013, then take some pictures.

I've had a widows peak my entire life

Sorry for blowing this up but to clarify, many children have widows peaks, they are in no way a sign of recession. I apologize but I'm going to have to take the advice of the more experienced members who replied, as I don't feel like someone who does not know this is credible

Have you had significant temple recession your entire life? Because you've got that too, which is why you have decided to grow your bangs as long as you have - to cover up the loss at your temples.

No, that's how you CHOOSE to part your hair, it's not how it IS. I suspect you part it that way because if you part it like a normal person, your hair looks thin along the part. So there's your answer - your hair is thinning. Wellcome to the club.

I don't understand people who come to this forum seeking total strangers to tell them that what they suspect isn't true. I don't think I've ever come across a single (non-troll) "Am I losing my hair?" thread where the OP wasn't, in fact, losing their hair. You're here because you know you're losing your hair, and you want someone to tell you you're not. Deal with it and start looking into treatments.

See other pics as well, but this is how I normally wear my hair. When I don't use a product it falls in my face I don't do it on purpose
