Hi, I always had fine hair since I was born, I am 24 years old and I want to know if I am thinning or if I am just paranoid. I have cowlicks in the right side when I part my hair in the middle. Is this normal?. I noticed that the depending on the way I comb those lines on the right side dissapear

but in other pics my hair looks like this, those cowlicks dissapear. I always had fine hair, in old pictures I noticed those cowlicks were there, so maybe they are just natural.

Looks to me like your in the early stages of hair loss. You might want to get on early preventative treatments.

I concur. Maybe he doesn't have to get on preventive treatments, but he might.

Isn't that what I just said...? Keyword being "might."

The 2nd pic is what sticks out to me in his first post. In his 2nd post, all the pictures give good hints that he most likely has hair loss.

I wouldn't see a dermatologist. That's a waste of $$ better spent on effective treatments. I say just wait it out and see if you start noticing more hair loss. You can always reverse the pattern if you catch it in it's early stages.

Here are other pics of my hair, in here those cowlicks dissapear, maybe it is just that I have fine hair and that it was greasy in most of the first pics I uploaded. I would like to know your opinion

Okay, please don't take my word for it, because I probably don't know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, IN MY OPINION, it looks like a natural centre parting, which only looks worse because your scalp is white, and your hair is dark. I could be wrong though, so it's probably best to hear what other people think.

btw, are you using flash on your camera? If you are, post some pics with flash off, as well as pics with your hair wet. Also, is the part you think is thinning noticeable when you look in a mirror, because the camera can make it look worse than it really is.

Sorry but that's terrible advice. He could go see the dermatologist and have his mind put at rest- if the op doesn't have male pattern baldness. Or get diagnosed with male pattern baldness and begin a treatment.

To suggest he just waits to see what happens is bad advice, in my opinion. Why spend time worrying about something, trying to track any possible hairloss when a specialist could figure it out easily.

To the op, its probably best you go see a dermatologist to be on the safe side.

Honestly it looks pretty normal to me, but you really would know better then any of us can tell by looking. If your missing noticeable density to your hair that you had before or have small tiny colorless miniaturized hairs on your hands after the shower then your going bald. If a family member or relative mentions it then they know better then anyone. If you are go see a doctor or dermatologist that knows something about hair loss because I can tell you right now some have no idea and will just blow it off.
Its tough to go see a derm though just for hair loss because its not seen as an important thing and I find it kind of embarrassing to talk about for some reason.

I agree with abcdefg. As the saying goes 'you are your best doctor'. Real doctors will initially be asking for as much details about your observations and often times rely on those to come up with their diagnosis. If he doesn't, beware of that doctor.
