Is my Dutasteride fake?

So I've been using Dutas (Dr. Reddy's) for over a year now and my hair has only gotten worse. Now I feel really unconvinced by the fact that I'm one of the unlucky tiny percentage of guys who start to lose their hair before 20 AND not respond to DHT inhibitors AS WELL. Over this period I've also had no sides (maybe increased libido if anything) whatsoever. Should I go ahead with a blood test to check my DHT levels because I think that's the only proper way to know?

It is most likely real. Where did you get it from? Yes, get your blood checked. I got mine checked on finasteride. I knew mine was real as I had testicular ache and pain down there generally for 1-2 weeks, you can't imagine that for example.

Hey Wolfpack! Got it from my local pharmacy here in Mumbai

It's real. But definitely check your DHT for peace of mind. Just tell a doctor you would like it done and explain why. Also get on RU. Nothing to lose.

Damn! Well then it seems like I'm one unlucky bastard who's like 0.1% of the 0.1% people who have hairloss. Well at least on the brighter side I didn't end up having permanent side effects like a few Really unlucky guys have.

Wolfpack, the last time I asked my GP if he'd suggest me finasteride for my hair he was like no way. He doesn't recommend it to young men and only to men who have kids and are not planning to have any more. So idk how to confess to him that I've been on dutasteride for over a year now because of hairloss. I might just go to the lab directly and ask them if they can do the test without a recommendation. I mean as long as they do DHT tests and I'm paying them for it, they should be ok. That's how things usually work here.

Btw RU is not really an option coz I don't think it's available in this part of the world and even if it is I wouldn't know if it was genuine and if I could afford it. I think dutasteride was my last weapon.

Say to your Doctor you have been taking Dutasteride even though you knew he wouldn't approve, say he should understand why you did it, being a young man and losing hair. That you did all your research and so on. Then say you would like to check DHT as you are not sure if the medication is genuine. It's a good reason, if someone told me that I would do blood work, patient safety comes first. He will feel compelled. The medication is genuine but might be nice to just have your DHT checked. If the GP says no, find a hair transplant doctor to do the test or dermatologist. Eventually you will find someone.

RU is an experimental and the supplier is legit but a bit of a hassle. I don't have experience of it but seems like people in many different countries use it. In your situation I would use it and mix it with Minoxidil. Drop the finasteride and stick with dutasteride daily. Once you get the hang of how to make RU and purchase it, it will become second nature. I don't think it's very expensive. You will save money anyway by dropping finasteride.

You're not taking a risk by using RU, sure it is an experimental but nothing crazy like spironolactone. I would do it if in your shoes.
