Hello there all,
I am 22 years old and will be turning 23 soon. I would say since around 20 I have been overly concerned with the thought or realization that I am in fact going to go bald or am starting to recede.
I have no doubt noticed a difference over the years but as I have read it's quite normal for your hairline to change. However my family history isn't really on my side, genetically. My dad's side is very poor when it comes to hair loss. My dad is bad and has lost almost all of his hair and he's 58 years old. He began to recede around... I would say 30-35 years old. His two brothers and dad also went through this but the youngest one, my uncle, is in his 40's and still has a solid set of hair.
My mom's side is slightly better. My uncle is in his 50's and his hair has receded, mostly on the crown but it's still pretty good and his dad had decent to okay hair in his 60's.
My cousins seem to be okay too, on my mom's side and they are in their mid 20's.
Anyways, I've tried my best to not stress but it's always been an issue for me. I haven't gone on anything as of yet. I tried getting a referral to see a dermatologist from my doctor and she has refused to send me because she thinks I am over reacting, but it's something I truly don't think I am making up here.
Anyways any tips or insight would be appreciated. I know some people may mock what I have compared to it being more serious in other people's cases but any kind info or comments are appreciated.
Here is a pic of my crown which I feel looks thin. I maintain a very healthy lifestyle, take omega and flax pills, excersise regularly and all that which they say helps.
Here's a pic.

My temples have only slightly receded. I forgot to mention I have been using Nioxin shampoo... don't know if that will help me at all but my hair has always been thick, it's made it thicker it seems after I use it. I only wash my hair around twice a week since they say that's better.
Please comment!
