I very suspect that male pattern baldness have decided to f-ck my brother in the ***.

He used to have really thick hair, but during the last two years I noticed that his hair density have slowly becamed more thin in a DPA-pattern like me.

I tried to warn the b**ch, but he's in denial still.

However, he's my bro and I want him to jump on treatment when he's ready.

I started losing my hair at 11, he's 25. Makes no ****ing sense.

Check the pics, I think that's clear loss, keep in mind though his hair is kinda oily in these pics.

He's in the stage where his loss is only noticeable to the trained eye.

**** it. My own bro is at the same stage. I pray for the Androgenetic Alopecia b**ch lo leave him alone for a few more years, but his hairdresser already told him to do some blood tests. He's 18.
Hope your bro won't stay in denial for long ! At least they have us to rely on, you know. They won't have to go through the stupid derms and the forum madness !

I wouldn't even say that's balding, maybe a bit thinner on the crown and the center parting but what do you guys expect, you can't have the thickest hair all your life, even without male pattern baldness men lose their density over time. Doesn't look bad at all. You guys have been staring at your hair for so long that your standards went really up.

That's why I said it's only noticeable to the trained eyed.

I know how my brothers hair looks like.

It has clearly thinned out these last two years and considering family history (cousins are severely balding too at a young age), I don't wanna give him false hope.

Poor guy. That's not only noticeable to the trained eye, that's definite diffused thinning, which imo is the worst. I am going through the same thing, but my hair is thinner. I would definitely convince him to get some 5% minoxidil foam and see a derm for a script for finasteride. I personally have this weird theory that treatments are less successful in diffuse thinners. That's just my personal opinion based on myself and other anecdotal evidence from the internet.

I combed his hair to clearly show his part + hair is oily.

When combed it doesn't look noticeable for the random person.

Sounds like I'm the one in denial lol but it's the truth.

Theoretically diffuse thinners should respond the best, since miniaturized hair is still covering the scalp and should thicken up. Unlike receders who often got very little to work with in the balding areas.

Yeah, when we comb our hair, the hair loss is a lot less evident. In these pics though, it's definitely apparent that this is not the full density he had when he was 16. He has definitely lost hair unfortunately. It sucks. I don't know why I feel this way about diffused thinners, and I have definitely seen some respon excellently to treatments.
