Hey guys. I'm 22, been balding probably since 17'ish. Just curious what you all thought about my current hair situation. I have pretty thin hair and I've been debating finasteride/min/nizoral and dermarolling. In addition, i'm debating getting dermmatch and toppik and seeing what it would look like. Do you guys think i have salvageable hair? Or am i pretty much at the point of needing a transplant? Thanks guys. IMG-1536.JPG IMG-1537.JPG IMG-1538.JPG IMG-1540.PNG IMG-1542.JPG IMG-1544.PNG

I think you’ve got the sort of head of hair that would respond really well to the big 3. However they come with potentially bad sides so there’s always a risk .

Yeah thats the main thing. finasteride is scary for sure. Should i bother with dermmatch and toppik? Or do i not have enough hair?

Honestly, I think it's worth a shot. I've seen people with less hair than you start the 3 and have made some seriously good progress. I don't think you've enough hair for Toppik or Dermatch though, your hair is too sparse. It would look obvious that you're wearing fibers.

Yeah man save the topik for another time in the future when you have more hair. If you start finasteride I would say start with maybe just 0.25mg daily and stick at that for a month or two for the sake of monitoring sides . I had bad sides at 1mg and had to taper down to 0.25.

You’ll also be able to feel more confident and you won’t even have to worry about the sh*t anymore.
Yeah man thats what ive been rocking for awhile now but I grew it out a bit just to see what it looked like and where it was at. I want to shave it but everyone keeps telling me to keep growing it haha.

Hi!
You must avoid finasteride and related medication as these all have side-effects like impotence, loss of interest in sex, trouble having an orgasm, abnormal ejaculation, swelling in your hands or feet, weakness and dizziness.

But I will also advise you to not go for a hair transplant. On the one hand, it is a lot expensive and also it has possible side effects including bleeding, infection, swelling of the scalp. bruising around the eyes, a crust that forms on the areas of the scalp where hair was removed or implanted, numbness or lack of sensation on the treated areas of the scalp. Not to forget the irresistible itching!

You are young and opportunities are endless. I recommend you to go for a hair system. There are a lot of styles to choose from and that too within much less expense than a transplant. A human hair wig or toupee is easy to carry and good manufacturers flawlessly create undetectable wigs these days. take a look at these stock & custom men hair systems and get a better solution for your scalp. I've been using one too for nearly 8 months.

I hope you find it useful.

Thank You.

You must avoid? I like how you talk as if everyone who takes this medication inevitably suffer each and every one of those side effects without exception. You seem to be trying to scare them instead of informing them. By the way, you work for that site, don't you? Because in almost all your post I see that you talk about them and you advertise them.

Sorry but I agree.

Was on finasteride for a while, had HORRIBLE brain fog the first month, reduced strength of erections, no morning wood, watery semen, itchy sensation in my nipples (possible start of gynomastica) and to boot I think it made my hair worse off than before I took it.

Personally, I would not ever go back on that drug and I don’t think anyone should even attempt to go on it. However others have used it safely and received results from it.

It is all personal preference. However I personally would never suggest it to anyone because the risk is just not worth the reward to me. I don’t think taking any sort of man made medication for long periods of time is safe unless you have an unstable mind and need anti depressants or something like that.
