Is It Time To Start Finasteride? 18yo

would a further recession okay for you (finasterid only maintains, dont cause regrowth so hair that is gone is gone)

My dad went bald very early, he was like difused nw3 at my age. My brother's 2 years older nw3. Grandpa on dad's side was a fullhead, grandpa on mom side was fine till like 40. Uncles on mom's side are 40 something yo nw1-2s

I used to have straight hairline. It started receding like 4 years ago to the point it is now

I wouldn't want any futher recession atm as i'm only 18. Finasteride does cause regrowth tho (not on bald areas but it would potentially fill areas on my temples which are a bit difused)

I wouldn't take DHT inhibitors whilst you're still physically developing tbh, (been on duta for 6 months)

IDK dude, just go see a dermatologist, you need to have them look at your hair before using DHT inhibitors

No. You should see a dermatologist to look in person, and I wouldnt start it until at least 21 or older. 18 is too young.

Yea i've been to dermatologist nearly a year ago and she said i should take them but i was too young back then

i wouldnt count on regrowth


imho in my opinion you should start when you still have a decent amount of hair

but 18 is probably too young...your face still gets more masculine etc

I started when I was 18, I wouldn't recomend it though... My jaw had already fully developed by 18 so I figured there wasn't much more to it - but everyone's different.

Well how much does DHT affect development and what age does the body pretty much stops developing psysically?

I thought so too but most people here are advising me not to take it so young
