Hey guys,
I tried to stop thinking about my hairloss but I now reached a point where I can't deny that I have super aggressive diffuse hair loss. My back and sides are pretty normal so it's just the top of my head. It's diffusing in a pattern that I'll be a NW7 within a couple of years for sure. Also the thickness of my remaining hairs are different than the ones on the side and back. On top of that the colour of these hairs are also changing from black (original) to dark brownish black.
Last year this time I really had great hairs. When I look back at older pics you can see slightly diffuse thinning but it was even for me hard to tell at that time. I recognized hairloss this April and since then I'm seeing a cosmetic difference every 2-3 months. This means my loss accelerated so fast within this year and my hair loss became aggressive af. I used to style my hair up, I cannot do that since 3 months anymore because I lost too much density. I'm combing my hair now to the sides. Every time I wash my hair with nizoral I easily loose 70+ hairs. 90% of all hairs I loose are clear telogen hairs. I took Isotretinoin for a year and stopped this March (two weeks before I realized my hairloss) so I was thinking at the beginning that it was caused by that and maybe everything will be good and hairs will grow back. But no way, it is getting worse. My older brother is also diffusely thinning so it is male pattern baldness for sure and not telogen effluvium bla bla.
I started 1,25mg Finasteride two weeks ago but I'm just asking myself the last days whether it's just stupid to fight this kind of aggressive hairloss. In the mean time I made up my mind that I will go bald for sure in the long-term. This isn't any problem for me anymore and I realized that I cannot win against an aggressive appearance of nature. However, the thing that makes me so desperate at the moment is the f*****g speed of my hairloss. Loosing like half of your density within a year is so scaring, I don't wish this to anyone.
So my question: Would you recommend me to stop medication due to the speed of my hairloss? Anyone here with a similar hairloss and can share experiences whether medications helped or not?
