Is it possible to stop this thinning?

I’m currently on finasteride and use Nizoral shampoo. Tried putting my hair into a bun to see how it would look and could tell that my thinning was pretty bad. Does finasteride help with this thinning or should I also start min (currently on 1 month of finasteride).

Looks like retrograde alopecia. Finasteride still works against it but I’d give it more time. 6 months at least

Finasteride doesnt work on retrograde alopecia or DUPA because it's not related to DHT

Yes it does lol. The doctor that termed DUPA said at least 50% of DUPA sufferers can improve with finasteride. I’m guessing the other 50% are too aggressive and need dutasteride or topical AAs. Maybe some of them have a form of alopecia areata

Retrogade alopecia treatment is still unknown. Taking finasteride/dutasteride/RU doesnt solve the issue most of the time unless you plan to use estrogen.
