Will i ever be able to regrow back my hair to how it was a year ago ??

since my hairloss is very recent (1.5 years), do i have a better chance of full recovery ?

the rate of my hairloss is killing me inside

damn, dude that quite a loss in a short time. I think its not that uncommon, I've been losing my hair since age 20 and suddenly i've lost a tremdous amount in the last 6 months, so much that it's really freaked me out. Mine is more diffuse though.

Did you think about adding minoxidil to your regimen?

do you think i have a better chance of recovery since my hairloss kicked in, in the past 1.5 years ?

i dont wanna add minoxidil, because my hairloss is quiete recent, and i believe DHT blockers (dutasteride) may help me recover most of my lost hairs from 1.5 years. I believe it'll help, coz i dont think my follicles got damaged that much by DHT over a short period of time.

suit yourself but minoxidil together with dutasteride would probably garner the best results, especially on the vertex.

probably about a norwood 2. No bald spots, just recently became VERY thin on the top, the front has always been thin, and the temples are garbage. I found a good way to apply the minoxidil so it doesn't bother me too much. check out my story in the "tell your story section". at the bottom i reveal all!

Your loss is similar to mine, except I'm even more diffuse on what I have on top. I'd suggest doing what the other guys advise - add minoxidil to your regimen. The finasteride may stop your loss and grow some back, but adding a growth stimulant might yield a synergistic effect. The wait and see approach, using only finasteride, does have some risks....not that you're assured of success either way.

In my opinion (based solely on my responses in the past), you have a shot at decent regrowth. Response is an individual thing, mind you. I'd advise asking your MD about the combination.

First of all, calm down. You're not dying. Yes, it's frustrating but please try to put things in perspective. Feel good that you're taking some action..that's the first step. DO NOT let this affect every aspect of your life - yes it sucks, as we all know, but you are your worst critic.

Treatment is a very gradual thing. Your male pattern baldness is not atypical. Are you completely bald? Of course not, anyone can see that. Are you thinning? Yes. Hop on the train right now and know that you're taking action. There's a therapeutic effect of knowing you're doing something about an item with which you're unhappy. Get on your regimen and don't sit in front of the mirror every day. Live your life. Check your progress every month or so, and don't go crazy if you don't see progress early on. Things might alarm you along the way, like losing more - don't freak out. Sometimes you have to take a step back to take two steps forward. Give it time - you lost your hair over time and it will take time to show progress if you respond.

Now, can you do that? DO NOT fall into a slump - it is self-defeating and may exacerbate your problem. You don't want that, do you? Be strong, take action if you choose, and live your life!

It won't be possible to get your hair back with your current attitude of being "too lazy." You'll keep heading downhill, guaranteed. Keep up the complascency and watch that bald patch grow! Ask me how I know.

If I was you, I would start Propecia and start shaving your hair. I think you will focus less on your hair if you shave it off. I would also start working out. To build muscle so you will look better with a shave hair. I dont know how well Propecia will work for you because everyone works different. Some will stop the hair loss some will regrow hair and some will do nothing. It's your best bet for now. Good luck and life will go on if you go bald. 95% of all men will loss hair.
