Is it possible to get results from liquid minoxidil after 3 years and no results on foam?

I know they are both minoxidil but I've read a lot about PPG making the difference. Is there anyone on here who has gotten results from the liquid version after starting on foam?

I have never heard of this... rationally thinking there should be no real difference unless you always applied the foam on the tips of you hair which I believe you did not do. So, would be interesting to know if somebody else experienced that as well.

Well I'm gonna see what happens. I still have a decent amount of hair although I receded in the front and have a small bald spot in the crown. The interesting thing is that I never shed or saw anything resembling regrow the with foam. I've been on the liquid for 5 weeks and I have experienced a slight shed, nothing major though. Also I have noticed peach fuzz in my temples and below my hair line. I never saw any of this on the foam. I'm wondering if PPG really makes a difference with absorption like some people say. I'll keep you guys updated with my progress as is is clearly way too early to notice anything significant. I'd really like to hear from others who started on foam and switched to the liquid. This is definitely interesting and a little exciting. I keep my hair really short so I am not affected by the greasy look so I apply it twice a day religiously. By the way, I've been on propecia for about 8 years but it doesn't seem to be working as well anymore

I'm growing fine hairs all over my forehead but the rest of my hair seems to have thinned slightly. I wonder if it's a sign that it's working or just the possibility that I'm not responding to meds anymore. The hair on my forehead is definitely interesting though. This Friday (12/11) will be 7 weeks on the liquid after switching from foam. It doesn't seem like anyone cares judging by the lack of feed back I got but I will periodically update this thread anyway. Fingers crossed!!

I would be interested in your results. Any irritation from the PG?

Mag I have had no irritation whatsoever from the PPG. No dryness, flaking or itchiness. Maybe the occasional pimple on my scalp which might be a little foliculitis but they clear up quickly. I'll keep updating my results as I see them. Still nothing major but it's early in the process.

I honestly don't think the foam works. Plus I like the application of the liquid so much more. The foam would always leave behind a dandruff like film in my hair and made it look extremely dry looking.
