Is It Possible That finasteride Raised My Dht Level?

Hello everyone. I started finasteride at the end of september 2017 (1 mg ED). Just before I tested my dht level and the result was 677,6 pg/ml.

After 4 months on finasteride I tested my dht level again and the result was 819,0 pg/ml.

I am also member of Polish forum and there were guys who experienced increased dht levels after taking 5ar inhibitors too, but nobody knows what's the reason for that.

I just complained to the lab, but they confirmed the results.

Any idea what's going on? Should I do a test again in another lab?

And what about the treatment: switch to dutasteride/topical AA (Ru or Cb)?

On the greek forum, a guy has mentioned the same, but even though his dht has increased his hair is improving. So, I'd say you wait a couple a months more to see if you have any results

Hormones are never a certainty. One could argue that taking estrogen, dht and androgen blockers with minoxidil is a sure thing. I am

Oh by the way, I got tested before and after avodart and my DHT has gone up too.

Anyway, I suppose that dht blood tests must be innacurate in some way. There are too many people who experience the same.

Started in November, got the test in December. Test also went up a little but not much.

Btw. I loooked at your regimen. Get rid of cetirizine cause it's COX inhibitor, so may affect hair growth in a negative way.

I do. Had scalp biopsies. I have bad miniturisation all throughout my hair.

I did drop the cet because it was expensive and useless.

Well it’s supposed To be daro but a few people got theirs tested and it seems to be enza. It’s likely we all have enza but it’s not 100% confirmed.

I have tired CPA, but I already take a small amount in my birth control anyway. Also tried
200mg spironolactone for almost a year which did nothing.

Itchy, inflammed and sometimes red, sometimes quite oily with sebum build-up, shedding and miniturisation.
