Is It Pointless To Start Minoxidil And Then Hop On finasteride In A Couple Of Months?

I realize I should use finasteride as the foundation of my treatment, which makes me think I should start it first. However, I have to see an endocrinologist to get cleared to use it because I have some slight liver damage from something unrelated, and this may take a couple of months. So I was thinking I could at least use minoxidil in the meantime...or is that pointless?

I started minoxidil a few months before finasteride and i kind of regret it now. Obviously I'll never know what finasteride would have done to my hair on its own but I wish id given it a try. My crown thickened up on its own with minoxidil so this is why I'm not sure

I would say wait for finasteride. Unless your hair loss is very very aggressive you'e not going to lose much ground in a few months
