Is it ok to leave the Child-proof cap off my Regaine Foam bottle?

I find it can be an awful nuisance to take that thing off every time I want to use my Regaine foam. However, I notice that toward the end of my bottle the foam becomes really liquid-y.

As soon as I apply it to my temples it just drips down my face.

Is this from leaving the cap off or does this happen with every bottle?

I live in a hot country so maybe that's what's causing it.

It's really annoying! If I wanted liquid I'd buy that and not the foam!

Leaving the child proof cap off makes no difference.. I live in a hot country too, keeping my foam in the fridge makes a big difference

Thanks. I'll start keeping it in the fridge now so! Raging I didn't think of this before.

I did a bit more research about this and I read on a lot of forums that the Regaine company themselves recommend storing it at room temperature, between 20 and 25 degrees.

I'm sure a fridge would be way below this. I wonder could it possibly alter the chemical composition inside the bottle? I'd hope not!

Ive never done any research on this but it seems to work fine for me..

In summer here room temperature is way above that. As far as I know higher room temperatures are more likely to break down chemicals than lower ones.

Is there any evidence showing that is true or is it just anecdotal?

Are you for real? What kind of a retarded *** question is that. A simple google search would have given you the answer. A concerned owner would have read that highly important fact and researched more about it instead of asking me for evidence and or 'if it's just anecdotal'. Just to make it clear, YES minoxidil is highly toxic to cats and they need prompt and immediate aggressive veterinary treatment after exposure. Very small amounts of minoxidil can result in serious problems or death.
