Is it normal??

I´m from Brazil and im quite desperate.. I´ve been using minoxidil since 6 months ago, my hair got great after 3, 4 and 5 months but i´m loosing it again during the last month! 30 or 40 during de shower. It got thinner! Is that a temporary shedding? Is that common, anyone had that??? Shoul i do any exames?? Please, help me, i no there are not many options to me, specialy here.. (i use finasteride almost 2 years)

That sounds normal, many here shed from minoxidil, it's nearly allways a good sign that you are pushing that shed hair into a new growth cycle. Stick with it don't stop using minoxidil.

Ok man, tks, but i had just had a huge shedding, after 15 days that last for about 20 days. Do u think I´m having another shedding, less than 3 months later??

Tks Klaus, but I´d rather listen to the veteran poster. (that´s ok, he´s from Brazil too.. ) Have u ever "heard" here about a shedding right after the first one, as it happened to me?

You really believe that TynanW is serious because he's a veteran poster ???
You have no other option than sticking with minoxidil. Otherwise you'll learn what it really means to shed... :wink:

What you are describing sounds like a completely normal shed. I've had several over the course of my medication, and none of them have ever made a visual impact on the overall look of my hair. It is unsettling to see the hairs on the floor of your shower, but, it is all quite normal from how you describe it.

Keep in mind that even though you are taking a drug that is supposed to increase and enhance hair growth, hair still grows in cycles and from time to time your scalp needs to shed some to begin a new cycle. Patience, my dear friend!
