Is Hair Implants Surgery Not For Every One??

A little bit history of myself again. I am 33 and have male pattern hairloss 7 years ago.

Recently I 've started taking 1mg Finasteride but I'm really worried about the side effect of this drug after

using for long term. I think It's really something that even the doctors may not have the ideas with because the

drug is only FDA approved since 1992 or 1997

However, in the meanwhile, I do not have enough budget for surgery / hair implants. And I do not know which doctors to trust which means I need time to do research.

What is the best bet for me?

1. Keep taking 1mg Finasteride daily and wait for surgery when I have enough budget.

2. Stop taking 1mg Finasteride and wait for surgery when I have enough budget.

It's said, NOT everyone is suitable for surgery especially if they have skin problems. I have moderate eczema at the back of my head where there are a lot of hair. If I stop taking 1mg Finasteride and later on getting more bald and found out I am not a suitable one for the surgery, then it will be very late to take the drug (Finasteride) again

What's your advice? I know I cannot accept more hair loss before the age of 45.

hair transplant may not be the best idea for you if you:
1. Do not plan on using finasteride for life since your hair loss will continue further.
2. Have shitty donor area, your hairs are thin there. From donor area hair is transplanted to bald areas.
3. Consider services of a shitty, not known surgeon with no certificate. Don't gamble with your life.
4. Have DUPA/Retrograde alopecia.
5. Have a highly advanced Norwood patern.

I want to go for hair implants surgery because I DO NOT want to use Finasteride for life in fear of its possible side effects

Isn't the implanted hair permanent because they come from the head back where its cells are not affected by DHT??

^indeed, until they too fall out from old age (the elderly get thinning hair too, even if not dht-induced).

what norwood are you ? your loss stabilized seven years ago or is it still going on?

It is advised to keep taking finasteride even after getting a hair transplant, since unless you had a hair transplant on a totally bald Norwood 7, there will still be hairs in that area susceptible to DHT and those will continue to fall out and you will no longer have the same results you had when you first got the hair transplant.
