I would say at this given moment, you do not have any hair loss. All though this can change.

All the hair looks terminal, however you should closely monitor your hair through out the months to see if anything changes. Recession is not a clear indicator of the gene, rather you want to focus on the entire scalps hair quality. A full head of hair will have uniform growth, and generally look the same everywhere.

I wouldn't stress, but just have a keen eye on miniaturization.


If you are that paranoid, then seeing a transplant surgeon to get one of those magnifying glasses so they can do a scalp check on your hair is your best bet.

Hey only reason I keep asking you sh*t is bc you seem knowledgeable. This is a more harsh pics of my crown. I've always had a huge "swirl" and unless I get the cowlick cut very short or let it grow long, some hairs stand straight up. What do you think bro?

One more thing. Isn't a widening part more of a female baldness thing? I never see any members on this forum talking about their hair part? Am I just weird for not being able to distinguish what's normal and what isn't

The vertex/top area looks good. The hair parting looks OK to.

But the temples/hairline is questionable to me. I'll be honest, I think you should be showing
more pictures of your hairline. The temples look very suspicious to me.

Idk if it matters, but I've had a windows peak literally my whole life. Maybe I'm getting a "mature hair line". Don't all white men have some hairline recession, mostly in the temples, once they hit their 20s

I can pull a normal amount of long hairs out with hair pull test, 0-2. But the shorter hairs that are growing out of my hairline (same thickness/diameter as regular hair) actually is like super in my head. I tried pulling one out and it literally hurt so bad

Exactly, I was under the impression that it was more rare to NOT have temple recession once your hormones peak

Lol, the widows peak appears bigger than as it does now. Your crown looks rather normal, imo it looks much different from the other John Smith......

Lol no, I was 19 in that picture where the windows peak was more prominent, but had way shorter hair/used gel (not paste). My hair is pretty long now, and I style it differently, very weird .....

Okay everyone LAST PICTURES I'll post. After this sorts out I'll never bother any of you again, sorry for being so paranoid. The first picture with the trees in the background is from 2012 (not 2013) junior year of highschool. I wrote the year in the pics. The haircut in 2014 is way worse, no idea why. Hair is very fine/straight and I style it differently a lot. My hair likes to fall towards my face, so I always need a gel/paste to make it do something else. Again, sorry. Also, in first pic barber "boxed out" front of hair bc it was short, which is basically shaving your widows peak off
