Is 5 months to early to quit minoxidil

I've been on finasteride and minoxidil for just over 5 months now. My hair looks exactly the same as it was before.

How long should I give it before I quit?

Has anyone ever seen results from minoxidil start at just the 6th month?

One thing's for sure it has made my left hand and wrist hairier because I use my left hand to rub it in. I'm sure some is going through my nail area which cannot be washed easily.

If you were receding before, but now your maintaining and getting hairy hands, does that not indicate it's working?

Minoxidil does not stop further hairloss, it only grows new hair. I can't see any new growth, only the same. If my hair is going to stay the same then I might as well only stay on finasteride.

The hand hair is beginning to bother me now, it's become noticeable.

I think I'll buy some plastic gloves and use them to apply the minoxidil.

But from what I've seen on the success stories on this board people who do see results do usually see them by 5 months.
