I remember seeing a balding heroin addict dude on that show, he was really young too, like early 20s and they showed pictures of him when he was a kid and he looked like a totally different person.

I saw another one with a dude who used to be a champion bicycle rider and I sort of like to think thats why hes still got all his hair even after a crack addiction (I think I read somewhere that stimulant drugs like cocaine and amphetamine are proven to have hair loss side effects).

Also I could have sworn that this one guy who had a minor receding/thinning hairline grew it back after he went to rehab and gained weight and got more physically fit.

the heroin addict with the brother who hated him did u see that one? dude was wearing a hat the whole show only to take it off at the end when they showed him brushing it..and i could not believe his hair was like brad pitt's in Troy.

it pisses me off more than anything to be honest.

okay real life story, I happen to know two brothers who are straight up heroin addicts and have been for like the last 4 or 5 years. The older one is about the same age as me.

The thing that really gets me is that their dad is balder than my dad and even has the old noticeable hair plugs on his head. I have talked about it with them and they even told me hair loss runs heavily in their family. But they both have awesome hair.

I think maybe it might have to do with never being stressed out cause you're doped out all the time.

Genetics are a total lottery we are not all clones of our fathers, brothers etc. their hair genes could come from a distant relative generations back.
I know people with bald fathers who have no loss whatsoever I also know guys who are pretty bald while their fathers have Norwood 1's and brothers where the youngest is balding and the oldest is fine.
You could say why does 1 guy have dark brown hair when his brother has light brown?
The more m.p.b in your family the higher the risk but nothing is definate, its no different to height or hair colour its just the luck of the genetic draw.

That article that says heroin makes your hair fall out in clumps would be do to mineral deficiencies from not eating if anything.

Yeah but I think there is more to hair loss than genetics, this is my belief and if you choose not to agree that's totally understandable.

Just while i think of this, im in australia but find it funny, that everyone on survivor... whether u be ugly, fat, skinny, whatever natio, 99% of them have perfect teeth. anyone else notice this? even the oldies have straight teeth.

I have perfect teeth :innocent:. I mean for someone looking from outside my teeth appear white and straight but I have lots of fillings in the back. Having straight teeth proves nothing :whistle:

Are you a dentist by any chance? The only person I know that pays attention to random person's teeth is my dentist cousin.
