you remember that study done awhile ago where rats were fed just enough calories to keep them alive, and they found the rats lived 40% longer than those fed normally?
welll apparently you can get the same effect by taking a day or two off food a week... a group of rats fed intermittently (who consumed the same amount of calories over the period of study as the ones fed normally) had a similar increase in lifespan as the starved ones.

and apparently theres nothing wrong with skipping meals.
