I wanted to write this to give hope/inspiration to those opting for a FUE hair transplant, IMO Turkey hair transplants are extremely fake looking & you can pretty much guarantee the quality depending on the price.

I had my hair transplant done early 2018 and I’m pretty much at the 18 month stage. Being 22 and being NW2 with frontal thinning is brutal & I decided to take action.
My Hair Transplant was ARTAS which is basically a robotic hair transplant, I had 1500 grafts which roughly cost £6k. Note, that I didn’t shave my head, only the receded areas for better coverage.

I’m not one for posting on this forum, mainly only to check out the new treatments & potential cures but I feel obliged to share my positive experiences with those who just need a push in the right direction. Also, not one single person other than my parents & brother knows about having the procedure done and have ever made a single statement about my hair/hairline. To add, I’ve been on finesteride for 2 years with extremely positive results.

As for Turkish clinics creating 'fake looking' results, it really depends on the surgeon. Some have undoubtedly done some great work and established themselves as big names in the industry. However, I would agree that Turkey is a landmine.. Turkish clinics seem to have the tendency to quote a much higher number of grafts compared to European counterparts, up-selling PRP, and throwing in a whole package with airport pickup and 4* accommodation to temp customers. They are much more finance focused from my experience. There has also been reports of conveyor belt operational procedures with questionable hygiene practices.
Also Turkish surgeons with little reputation have now spotted the market gap in UK by selling themselves as 'Turkish clinics based in UK' to mislead those who are unwilling to travel to think they're anything more than struggling clinics who can't build on their own client base in their own country due to competition.
I'd say the golden rule is disregard their country of origin, do a thorough search on each surgeon and clinic, read genuine personal testimony and weed out ANY forum posts from users which look suspiciously like they are touting for clinics with no reputation.

I was under the impression that ARTAS left bigger scars than well trianed surgeons do?
