Initial Shedding Is Scaring Me Away From Finasteride.

I know everyone here swears by it, and I've had a professional suggest that I take it. I still can't get myself to do it though. I'm going for a consultation for a hair transplant next month, so maybe hearing a doctor tell me "Hey, baldy, take this sh*t" will be what pushes me over the edge.

The sexual side effects are scary as hell. The idea of not being as horny as I normally am, or not shooting as big of a load is weird. I'm also afraid of being one of the few who has permanent side effects even after I stopped taking it.

The other problem is that I'm pretty far gone already. I'd be taking it more to save what I have than to regrow what I lost. I'd hate to take it, have side effects, shed what I have (and not grow it back) and then just be worse off.

To those of you who experienced the initial shedding, how bad was it? (would it be noticeable to someone who wasn't looking for it?)

This is one of my biggest fears taking Finasteride and i have taken it for just over 2 weeks now.

I do feel like my hair loss has got abit aggressive over the last week and i dunno if its shed since i ain't noticing all that much hair fall, but its definitely receding my frontal hairline back at what feels like a faster pace than it did before.

I have had abit of an itchy scalp in the receding areas and worryingly that usually means dht is attacking the hair but some say thats part of shedding or that the itch stops as your body adapts to the finasteride but it all feels like a huge gamble.

All i can really do is wait to see whether something good comes out of it or i am official f***ed :(
