Hey, Im 24 yo and ive been "balding" since I was 20 but it wasnt noticeable as it is now..

What I did back in 2014 was, I started using minoxidil 5% 2 times per day for like a year and stopped as I was just not seeing any regrowth and it was also due to lazyness.
I havent used anything from mid 2015 to 2017 where I started again (january) with minoxidil 5% once evry day and nizoral 1% 2 times per week and taking vitamins that contains biotin, zinc etc..
Im thinking about adding finasteride which ive never tried before but i'd like to use it topically as I have issues to swallow pills... yeah as dumb as that and i just cant open the capsule like I do with the vitamins.
I see a lot of people having success with rogaine foam and If i had to apply a topical finas idk how I would do it if i were to use rogaine... I'd need to use something that contains minoxidil+finas but I dont know which brand i should be using... I plan on dermarolling every day slighltly right before applyign minoxidil, would that be bad if i had to apply topical finas every day with dermarolling?

I have lost a lot of hair since the end of 2015 and I doubt stopping minoxidil caused this as before trying minoxidil I wasnt that bad.. its not like I lost "gains"..

I'm just desperated... I'm already thinking on a hair transplant even though i've only been using minoxidil again for like 4 months but I dont see any regrowth..
I have to say as well that I did have many weight loss changes and I read it could cause hair loss but you'd get the hair back within 3-6 months which isnt the case.... I was told and I read that when people loses the hair that fast it also can be recovered...

Can you guys please tell me a decent minoxidil + topical finas and beside dermarolling what else should I add? I think I can get my receding hairlines back as I wasnt like this 1 year ago... and since it's not that long I heard I could get it back...

Only option is finasteride , orally not topically.

Transplant could restore your hairline depending on donor quality, I'd try finasteride first though. Monitor your libido however

That's quite the dramatic change, you need minoxidil for the crown and an hair transplant for the hairline plus finasteride or RU to slowdown the hair loss.

So u guys think I wont recover the hair I lost right?, why finasteride orally and not topically? I heard its the same at the end of the day?

hmm I wonder what chnaged in your life that could potetntialy cause such horrible, fast hair loss? What are your suspecions?
BTW: I assume you were shedding right? Any interesting observations? How much hairs have you been shedding each day? What have you tried to stop it? Have you noticed any connection to sex/masturbation/sport life?

The sides are probably the same, even RU isn't sides free for everyone, you have to try and see.

The only thing I could think of is that I did like 2-3 weight loss diets that lasted 1-2 months back in 2015 and one more 4 months ago but I had that current hair so it wasnt caused by this ... I would lose like 10-15kg in 2 months and stuff like that but I heard when you lose hair by this reason you get it all back after 3 to 6 months..

About shedding, I havent shed tbh since I first took minoxidil back in 2014.. I used it for only 1 year and gave up.. and always had the same hair until it changed to my current state which degraded in 2016, ( whole 2015 pics i've seen I even had hair on receding hairlines...)
I'd say I've lost a lot this last year...

I actually never lose hair when I shower or I try to take hairs from my scalp... thats whats weird.. I would understand it as shedding if it was the case but NO, I barely lose hairs.. so this state isnt shedding... im sure..
About sex/masturbation Im note sure what to say, never had any problems with this and I usually go for a run at least 3-4 times per week...

Do I change minoxidil for RU? do I use both? how do i do this?

Quite a big change... steroids ? Hormone inbalance ?
Never used steroids or any stuff I swear...
How do I know about hormone inbalance?
I went to a clinic where they did liek a PRP treatment and they told me i had everything fine and was really healthy

The jury's still out if finasteride works as well topically over orally
