any benefits on increasing the propecia dosage from 1mg to maybe 2mg a day , saw maybe more hair growth and thicker hair?

Little to no difference would be seen by taking 2mg over 1mg. Proscar is 5mg of finestride (the active ingrediant in propecia) and only blocks 5% more dht in the body than propecia. This would only show minimal improvement in hair count compared to propecia. Therefore 2mg would not even be worth taking. Even if it was effective you would be increasing the risk of side effects from developing.
