Increased Sex Drive By Finasteride On Already High Sex Drive

Hey guys,

This is a bit uncomfortable for me to ask but I just give it a try.

I started taking finasteride 2 months (2x nizoral 2%/week as well) ago. So far my scalp is getting less oily and my scalp itch has been reduced drastically. I may see some decrease in shedding but can't say that for sure yet.

However, I realized couple of days ago that I have an increased sex drive since then. I was even before taking finasteride sexually very active but since I started this sh*t, my sex drive is going through the roof. Every time I'm with a hot chick, I can easily go 3 rounds (or more haha). I get boners all the time and I think about sex and girls a lot throughout the day. It really starts to annoy me at this point.

Did anyone else experienced sth similar? Have your sex drive normalized after a while?

If that's important... I'm doing a lot of gym. I have a very athletic body (93 kg, 13%bf). So I guess I already have high T and with finaszteride the free T even increased in my body which makes me shoot like a pornstar lmao

There has been talk about AR being upregulated in some people. This could be a reason. I doubt the supposed 10% increase in T contributes to libido as its offset by the larger fall in DHT. Hows the hair doing since going on ?

No big change to see yet. Before finasteride my scalp quickly became very oily. Now I can go two days or more without washing. Also my scalp itch has been reduced drastically. I still shed hairs but probably a bit less than before the treatment.

I got the exact same thing , a month into finasteride my sex drive increased ALOT . I am 7 months in and still constantly horny that it is annoying sometimes since I came out of a relationship right before I started finasteride lool, if I was still with that girl I guarantee she would not be able to walk for a very long time. Her loss.

My shedding has definitely decreased, my hair looks healthier, my hairline feels like it has receded alittle but that could be because I stopped minoxidil as soon as I started finasteride so I could have possibly lost all the little minoxidil hairs. Aslong as it doesn’t receede further I am fine with sticking to my routine. What dose are you on for finasteride atm? , I take .50 mg a day to save money lol

I'm on 1.25mg/daily (quartered Proscars).

I'll stick with it 6 months and then add minoxidil most probably.
