Its genetic variations. Studies already proved this. But I think it causes a bad hormonal balance or some men are sensitive to T and not JUST dht.
Appreciate the response. I have a similar theory to yours. I’m sorry for all the questions guys, I just have no one else to discuss these matters with, and dermatologists are also clueless.

I got my DHT level results just now. My DHT level is 0.28 nmol/L.

Either causes upregulation at the receptor level, or some men are very sensitive to the increase in T. Or a combo
If thats true then adding ru on top of it will only make the upreg worse. But for me it was never about upreg. I have reasons to prove that it wasnt.

My DHT is very low, so I just don’t understand anymore. My only guess is that I unfortunately fall into the small group of men who don’t respond well to treatment, only a slowing down of loss.

The only conclusion I can come to is that my genetics are such that my hair follicles are sensitive to even the slightest amount of DHT. Therefore the best I can do is only slow the loss.
Could be true in my case too. But I havent been on finasteride long enough to know if it works better than dutasteride or not. Some claim better results from finasteride than dutasteride and vice versa. Im just living on hope and experimenting also desperate. But killing those damn demodex mites helped for sure. My slogan is (Those Damn Demodex Mites)
