I finally took the plunge and started taking finasteride 3 days ago and I am really worried that it is having a detrimental effect on my hair. I decided to take it after noticing my hair loss getting worse and I think finasteride is causing a lot more hairs to fall out. Normally I would just find a few hairs in my hands after shampooing but now I am noticing a lot more and I notice the same when I am combing my hair. The hair I am losing are long and thick and it is really depressing me to see it pile up in the shower. Is it possible that Finasteride can cause increased hair loss after just 3 days? Is this a sign that I am reacting poorly to the medication or that I am reacting extremely well and am experiencing a growth shed? Should I immediately stop taking it? I was reading that Finasteride can cause Hypoandrogenicity. Is this what I am experiencing? How can I know?
