Hi

I've finally decided that I'm gonna do something about my hair loss and buy my 1st lot of finasteride. My question is where is the best/cheapest place to buy it in the UK? I'm considering Boots.co.uk as I know it will be legit but its pricey at £45 for 30 pills!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

(here's a copy and paste from an earlier post of mine)

Check out 4rx.com. They actually have a price match guarantee, so I'd even go through them if you found somewhere else for cheaper.

http://www.4rx.com/online-pharmacy/cate ... pecia.html

I've been taking Finasteride from them for the last 3 years. My hair loss went from 200 hairs a day to about 25, so I know it wasn't just a sugar pill or something like that. They have online support for questions, and they told me this: "We have more than one supplier for the same medication and we ship out according to the availability of the stock. We carry generic Propecia manufactured by GenPharma, Sunrise, Cipla and Intas Lab Pvt."

2 money saving tips if you go there...
1: Let's say you want 180 caps. Add the 90 caps to your cart instead. It will take you to a checkout page, but it will also give you a chance to upgrade your order to 180 pills for $20 cheaper. Same goes for if you want to get 360, add 180 to your cart first

2: Use the promo code Q52EM37T during checkout for another 10% off. That's my promo code that I got for being a return customer, so feel free to use it :)

You might be able to get it cheaper at boots if you buy 90 at a time, I don't think you'll be able to get the merck stuff cheaper than that.

The best deals are online where you can get the generic stuff.

Yes you can get 3 months supply from boots for £90 rather than one month for £45.

I used to do this but recently switched to buying proscar and splitting it as it is much cheaper.

I got it from www.ukfinasteride.info after a recommendation from spex. It is perscribed by a uk GP Dr R Singh so it all seems legit.

Thanks for the responses guys I'll have a look at these other sites when I've gone through my batch from Boots. To be honest it doesn't seem to be massively over priced from Boots but Lloyds Pharmacy on the other hand wanted £60 for a month! I think I feel like I need to go somewhere I know is def legit as I'm new to this but I'm pretty sure that'll wear off when I'm paying for it every month lol

Have you guys had good results on finasteride?

I had good results, in that my crown filled in as much as it could, it was somewhere between a 10p and a 5p, and i more or less maintained for 8 years, that's off propecia alone.

I eventually stopped out of lazyness but then noticed a rebound in my libido which meant it must have been supressing it for a couple of years towards the end, so i've decided to stay off it now, hence i'm back on the boards, no regrets though it worked well for me.

Please let us know how you feel in a week or two.

And PLEASE monitor your libido, morning erections and stuff to make sure you dont have any issues in that department. Most won't but just be careful :)

Also, don't over-analyze every little cough or "that feel weird" feeling. Just because you don't have morning wood for a few days doesn't instantly mean that you're getting horrible sides.

I'll give you an update after 2 weeks. Hopefully I'll have nothing to report!

What is the usual time period to expect to see any benefits from taking Propecia?

Well I'm only on day 3 and I'm already noticing less hairs in my hand when washing it! Unless I'm imagining things lol

Just to let you know, it may be worth seeing your GP and asking for a private prescription of generic Finasteride. My GP prescribed me 1mg to begin with (which of course meant pricey Propecia) but then I asked about switching to 5mg Finasteride pills quartered to save money and he was okay with it. I now pay £4 (yes that's not a typo) for a 4-month supply (£1 a month!!). :)

Even if your doctor says no, at least you tried!

Just an everyday local pharmacy. I live in a small town, my doctors and pharmacy are nothing special. Generic finasteride costs next to nothing. It's more expensive online than it is for people who are routinely prescribed it by their GP for their prostate.

I think a lot of people are wasting a lot of money buying finasteride online :/
