In the EXTREMELY RARE chance of PERSISTENT SIDES, what are people's options?

Hey guys, as we all have read the horror stories about persistent sides, I have some questions. I know many of us avoid forums or information related to persistent side effects caused by finasteride, and for very good reasons. Whether or not it exists is also heavily debated.

For the people who have heavily investigated the idea of PFS, I wanted to know whether there were any treatments available?

I understand that the chance of PFS is almost non-existent, but I think that knowing there are still options to recover your body, can be comforting.

PFS is like herpes, once you get it you are pretty much screwed for life. No exceptions to this rule whatsoever. I have never heard of anybody that has recovered from PFS.

Depends how severely you get it I think. It's still very poorly understood but I think there are studies being conducted at two universities in the US. Most people recover in months but there are more severe cases lasting several years.

Thanks for the responses. Yes, it is clear that is a poorly misunderstood condition.

Does this mean v****, or other similar drugs also do not work for maintaining an erection?

Maybe there's no cure for PFS, but I assume some things are out there to get by?

Man 99% of them are hypochondriacs. I've had situations before finasteride where I couldn't get it up and now on finasteride I don't have troubles doing so. I think being evlxtermely stressed and nervous effects these guys to a greater extent than they could imagine. Propecia has been out for 23 years and has had a multiple amount of studies done. But yet they can't conclude anythinf about persistent sides, not only that but transgenders use this drug to keep their hair. So many of them on forums that I have read when looking for proof of sides before taking finasteride think these propecia guys are nuts. Why? Because their doctors talk about propecia being useless and I quote "a piss poor androgen blocker". A dude came on that forum claiming that his face feminized from finasteride and like 30 transgender girls bombarded him saying how they wish finasteride would cause any effect like that, not only that but they ripped him because at early stages propecia barely ecen effected their libido. finasteride except the hairloss aspect it's useless to them.

I don't discount sides at all and they are very real, but you will recover from them. Be it 1 month, 3 or 6. No permanent damage will come of this

Thanks for that GI Joey, what I've learned about these forums is that everyone will put in their 2 cents, some have more credibility than others, or have researched it more, you just kind of have to figure out who. Once again though, does this mean v**** and that other similar drugs cannot atleast help someone with PFS get by? Of course, in the INCREDIBLY unlikely chance, as you have pointed out.
