In terms of Length, does male pattern baldness affect growth rate?

I wasn't able to find the appropriate search terms to google.

I have noticed that the rate of lengthening of my hairs strands has slowed. Is this characteristic of male pattern baldness?

I believe so, yes. When a follicle miniaturises then it cant produce hairs as thick and therefore as long. The unaffected hairs tend to grow at a faster rate than the stunted hairs at the temples and crown.

Definitely, I have long hair, and when my hair loss was at its worst, I had hair that was near mid back length but yet there were quite a few on the top of my head that grew no longer than several inches, and some along my temples that only grew 1/4". Also, my bangs only grew down to around my eyebrows and everything was thin and wispy because it was miniaturized.
