i have always had reallly really fine hair, dont have a bad family history of early hair loss....
i broke my leg really bad back in september 06, immediately my hair started thinning rapidly, everyone told me it was stress, it was stress, but now its almost a year after and im still thinning really bad, and i have noticed a receding hairline, i ve been using the GNC ULTRANOURISH hair vitamins and have been using the nioxin cleanser system 1(which has kind of helped the shedding), i saw a derm a month ago and he put me on cleobetasol propionate topical, some kind of hair steriod, which did not work!! im really worried that im losing my hair and im only 19!!!
im starting to look at hair loss products but i dont want to go on propecia(to scared of possible side effects!)
if you guys have any comments or advice please help!
i want to attack my hairloss asap internally and externally but i want to try to stay away from propecia..

i know you don't want to hear this but you must get on either propecia or dutas ASAP if you want the best chance of saving your hair, also get your head checked by a dermo, might be shockloss due to your accident but probably not if it has not grown back in over a year.

good luck with whatever you decide and side effects with these drugs are rare

Agree.

Its not shockloss if its just in the front ie the typical early m.p.b area.

Agree.

your accident was just a shock that triggered your male pattern baldness, from your description, I believe you have male pattern baldness.

I still recommand a visit to a derm though.
