I'm 29yo and have been taking 0.5mg dutasteride ED for >5 years, which has effectively halted my hair loss, but also given me persistent sides (brain fog, fatigue, low libido)
2 weeks ago, I switched to 1mg finasteride ED and have immediately developed an itchy scalp, particularly at the temples (although no shedding).
I haven't made any other changes to my routine (I'm also using topical minoxidil), diet, or lifestyle.
Has anyone else made the switch from dutasteride to finasteride? I'd be interested to hear if you experienced itching and/or a shed, and generally what I can expect to happen in the coming months. Did you stick with it, or return to dutasteride?
