I'm Unsure Whether Or Not My Brother Is Balding, But He Doesn't Care Either Way.

Before you ask, no this post is not about me. I've been off the site since my last post and haven't been as worried. But the other day I asked my brother to let me see his hairline. The weird thing is, his temples aren't going upwards, but his right temples is very rounded. His left seems to be fine, but the right said is almost a circle. I think he's always had a similar hairline to this, and my dad has this same thing at 50 but his corners are definitely more rounded than mine as well as they used to be. Is this a mature hairline? He has no problem with hair growth, and his crown is perfect, so it might just be his natural hairline.

On all of these forums I've never seen someone who's balding in this fashion, so I really don't think he is. But, nonetheless, curiousity gets the best of me and I'd love to know what you guys think.

I would say it looks a lot like this.

Yes, your brother is balding. And mature hairline is also slight male pattern baldness. The thing is for a male balding is excessive hair loss according to the age. What I want to say is 96% of men's hairline recedes and that is also balding which we term as mature hairline because this much degree of hair loss is acceptable. but at the end of the day, technically it is balding, even though very slight. Like I will not say a 50 year old norwood 2 man bald.

I don't think your brother is balding, it just looks like a typical mature hairline which you may get eventually.

My dad has that same hairline at 50, maybe it’ll stop right there
