A part of me wants to just take the dutasteride until I get maximum results and then do it once or twice a week to maintain. Im just scared of permanently damaging my body

That's what scares me away too, the possibility of negative, long-term side effects. Having researched for months on end, I think I am going to forego any form of DHT blocking medication and opt for a hair transplant down the road when things get bad. My science background and gut instinct tells me that blocking hormones in the body for long periods of time might not be healthy.

Yep, but its so depressing walking around having a thinned out itchy scalp and once you take an Anti-androgen its feels sooo much better.....and the thing is....we dont know what happens down the road so its really a mind ****. I know the best thing to do is to accept it, but I don't think it's possible for me to embrace baldness and accept it....whatever, maybe taking dutasteride once in awhile will be easier on my body
