I just started using the foam in mornings but keep using liquid at night, I just hate it, drips all over my face, causing itching to my scalp, I wake up and this **** is all over my face, the foam solve most of those problems, but it's safe to switch? It will cause me to shed?

"Shedding" is a contentious subject and its not something that happens to everyone. Obviously if you are applying minoxidil to slick bald areas you wont shed anything. If you are applying to an area of hair that is pretty well populated but thinning the amount of hair you lose might not be cosmetically noticeable. You get the idea.

Yes foam has an issue with dispensing ..its very easy to squeeze out more than you need. It will be more expensive than liquid for you, I'm sure of it. Its the trade off you make for using a less messy product

Thing is, the foam actually get to more areas since it absorb immidiatly, the liquid crap drips from my temples to my forehead,

Something that kills me, we have only the liquid version in israel, and ordering is a pain in the *** due waiting

I like the foam. It's easy to use and not messy. Never tried liquid though...

I use maybe 3/4 instead of the recommend 1/2 half a cap and a bottle will last me 25-27 days. I did shed for maybe 3 weeks.

If you use the foam, keep your hair short and massage the foam with the very tip of your fingers to get it well onto your scalp. You'll feel it anyway when it reach the scalp.

Also, make sure the bottle isn't warm or else the foam will come out liquid and you'll waste a lot. With temperature hitting 90-95 degrees these days, i need to put it into the fridge for a couple of minutes before using it.

Btw, i'm in Canada and we don't get the foam either (only liquid 2%). Just order it online and make sure you've got a couple of back up cans in case something happens so you won't be stuck without minoxidil for weeks.

I don't see how you can use the foam if you still have a lot of hair..? Mine is curly and voluminous; I guess all the minoxidil would be absorbed by the hair itself rather than the scalp. Pipette with liquid minoxidil seems more precise.

I suggest you keep your hair short for better absorption. In fact, anyone who's fighting hairloss should keep their hair short.

I don't agree. I don't like my hair short, not at all. And fighting hair loss is a life long battle.. So I should keep my hair short, permanent, the way I don't like it, so I could grow hair..? Then what's the point of saving my hair if I can't wear it the way I like it.

You can use the foam on long hair you just need to know how, you need to hold your hair up and with the other hand apply it directly to your scalp and massaging it

if more funny if you just use your long hair to cover up your bald area. :) Shorty hair will make you a tough man...

It's really up to you but it looks funny to have long hair with a thinning front or vertex.

I believe your hair wil be stronger if you keep them short. And also, you will be more prepare for a bald head if your regimen doesn't work! :p

I get my sides buzzed to 0.5 and on top, i'd say they are about an inch long max. I get them cut every 2 or 3 weeks and the foam work just great with that lenght.

Good luck!
