I visited a hair specialist today, in which I waited almost six months for under a referral. She diagnosed me with androgenic alopecia, and did a pull test which was so painful!

She said that I should buy topical minoxidil, in which I said a big fat no. And, the 'hair specialist' said she can't prescribe finasteride, dutasteride or oral minoxidil. She said for me to be prescribed those, I would have to go private.

I waited almost half a year for that bullshit, and I was livid...

Order online, use it for a year or two, go with before and after pics(if you successfully treat your male pattern baldness) and say im taking this sh*t, im going to order it regardless of your opinion, prescribe it to me. That's what i intend on doing lol Don't know if it will work but there you go.

Wow, unbelievable. You know, I'm quite an apologist we must care for ourselves because no expert is going to help us unless they benefit more than we do. I bet that if you dedicate yourself to this subject during your breaks and spare time reading studies, collecting info you'll be more educated than most of this specialists in weeks or months.
They do it for the money, they dont really care whether they are providing the best service or not, while we have the motivation because we are the ones fucked up.

Any constitutional, joint or gi symptoms to suggest lupus or chrons?->any signs of scarring alopecia or diffuse alopecia aerata?->any signs of seb derm, tinea or psoriasis->any abnormalities of screening labs including thyroid and zinc(vit d and iron really don’t matter too much tbh)> if concerned for pathological hyperandrogenism is there an abnormality in total test, dhea or 17-ohp?-> prescribe minoxidil and propecia

Around 99% of males will simply land at the last step
