I'm Going To Try And Make My Doctor Pescribe Dutasteride.

At the 2 year mark of finasteride (15 months in, no sides, slighty regrowth at crown everything else is maintaining), i'm going to try and make my doctor pescribe me Dutasteride. You might wonder "why switch to Dutasteride, if Finasteride is maintaining?" - My hair is really important to me, and right now my hairline is a f*cking mess. Norwood 3, but the whole front is thinning badly to the point where you can see my scalp. I want to fix this with a transplant - and then maintain with dutasteride for AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.
As you probably know, Dutasteride isn't approved by the FDA for hairloss, so i'll have to meet him with some evidence showing the effiency of dutasteride. Of course i have done some research my self - but if some of you have any ideas or articles that you think i should bring with me, i will be delighted if you wanted to show them to me on this thread.

It will take some time to get prescribed dutasteride. It took me around three months to finally get a prescription for it, and that was after I admitted I’m already self-medicating on all of these medications.

You could definitely show some of its studies in terms of effectiveness. That could help...

I'm going to show him studies about the effectiveness og dutasteride. I'm considering a strategi about me telling my doctor that i could always order it online, but that i would rather get i through a legit prescription and go get it at a legit pharmacy. That, in combination with showing him all the studies.
If he refuse to give me the prescription, should i just go the another doctor, or what?

Can’t you get it from a pharmacy? Dutasteride is so easy to get here on private prescription...
