my left side is turning into a mature hairline, and ive done a lot of research and really would like to try and prevent/slow down further hair loss. i know im young now, but i guess the longer i wait the more itll recede. Its nothing major right now, but do you think it would be beneficial to use nizoral shampoo a few times a week and topical spironolactone 5% on my temples and crown once a day, just to prevent any damage in the future? i also will take a hair vitamin.

Well I had a mature NW1 when I was 15. I think it is a sympthom of early balding. Up to age 18 a guy should have an NW0

While you're still very young I agree with you that it's probably a good idea to stick with the mildest of the proven treatments for now and see how you get on with it.

Personally speaking, in hindsight I would wish I had taken more action when I was a youngster instead of burying all my problems until I was into my thirties.
