Hello I’ve recently started to notice that in pictures with flash you can see patches of my scalp with no hair. Is this normal or am I balding?

how hairline looks? and how it looks in whole head covered pic from top, sides.

instead of being in doubts, just short trim hair on all sides & take a pic

hairline looks normal. pic with whole head coverd because to see what part of head has no hairs as you said.
Why not trim your head? doctors can easily find it whether its alopecia areata or something else

There’s a picture of my whole head. I can’t say I’ve noticed a tiny bit of itchiness but my nails seem normal.

Its difficult to say anything with this pic. are you sure your hair is less only at the visible spot in that pic? how will you look with centre crop?

most common patchy hairloss cause is alopecia areata, its autoimmune reaction. I'm not telling you that you have it. its difficult to say what causing you hairloss.
talking about alopecia areata, it may start like this

and increase to this

so, just go to doctor soon.
